The Thursday Night Project present
A selection of the Canterbury tales
The Pardoners, Miller & Reeves tales
Written by Geoffrey Chaucer and adapted by Richard Lloyd.
This abridged version of The Canterbury Tales focuses on three of the best-known Tales. Tales of ordinary folk preoccupied with sex, money, petty jealousies and simple pleasures.
This freewheeling translation retains all the intense flavour and colour of the original - as exuberant and merry as it is vicious and lewd.
The Thursday Night Project began in 2015. Seven years, over 150 workshops and 5 productions later, it is now attended by a diverse mix of men and women from Surrey and Southwest London.
The Project is run by professional actor Richard Brimblecombe.
The Thursday Night Project have performed at Leatherhead Theatre, the Rhoda McGaw in Woking, the Albany Theatre, Coventry and even the Lamproom Theatre in Barnsley.
